PIDT - Phraze-ItŪ Digital Texting, is the method that enables texting words, phrases, IM acronyms and sentences with one hand utilizing only six (6) gestures face-to-face with another person, or electronically. The small number of one-handed gestures are simple to form. PIDT is also easy-to-learn, retain and recognize. It only takes one hand, five fingers and six simple gestures to text message words, phrases and sentences.
The unique and patented texting method utilizing only the five fingers of one hand for text messaging was invented to bring the advantages of a consistent, predictable and easily memorized system and order of the alphabet learned in early education to the field of communicating face-to-face using the human hand, or electronic glove, a robotic hand, or one-handed texting in a virtual environment. Phraze-ItŪ Digital Texting is an alternative to fingerspelling and does not require learning a large number of ambiguous hand shapes.
The mission of PIDT.org is to foster communication among people by providing a useful, simple, easily learned one-handed method of texting that is also designed for speedy proficiency.
